"Covid-19 has had a global impact on our daily lives. The lockdown restrictions and the uncertainty of our economy is of great concern to humanity. Fear of the virus is real and life as we know it can never be the same again. Art is my path of survival. This collection of alcohol inks is a lifeline of sanity and balance." - Pascale Chandler

I am a Durban based artist. I am passionate about the effects and influences of the creative process. It begins with “Visual Intelligence”. The ability to dissect and transform reality and heighten our senses about the world. The challenge we face as individuals to develop, transform and translate experience and Identity. How to contextualise idea and Process. Painting allows internal logic and intuition to be activated. The process of painting should never be passive. Painting is an act of bravery. To wrestle, tease, discipline and caress the things that add value and meaning to our lives.
